Events

From regular panels, workshops and networking events, to our bi-annual all-day conference, we host events around the country to explore current trends and debates to help you develop the skills and contacts you need to progress in your career. We also hold socials including quizzes, book clubs, exhibition trips and book swaps so you can keep in touch with your literature-loving peers.

The SYP’s quarterly magazine is mailed free to full members, keeping you up to date with SYP activities and what’s going on in the rest of the literary scene through articles, guest interviews and reports.

Diversity & Inclusivity Reports

The SYP aims to be a fair, diverse and inclusive society, welcoming members and non-members from all backgrounds and having the diversity of our industry and membership reflected in our committee. Every two years, we run a Diversity and Inclusion report to assess our practices and how we can improve as an organisation. We are also committed to driving inclusivity in publishing. We have an internal Inclusivity Team with members from every branch dedicated to improving how we better represent the community.
