If you work in publishing and are open to having a supportive conversation with someone looking to break into the industry or a recent starter, we’d love to hear from you! Simply fill in your details below to get started.

How It Works

  • Once we’ve found a match, the SYP team will add you to our Spare Zoom Project mentor dataabse and we will then contact you about connecting with an individual who has requested a 30-minute online chat to gain advice and insights into the industry.
  • This likely won’t be immediately, it will be based on when a mentee expresses interest in your areas of interest/ expertise!
  • Participation is entirely flexible—you can choose to accept or decline any match. Engage in as many or as few chats as you like!
  • If you accept a match, we’ll introduce you to the applicant, and it’s then up to you both to arrange your online conversation.

Keeping Your Details Updated

  • If your circumstances change (e.g., you move roles or your experience/interests shift), please email us to update your information.
  • Similarly, if your email address changes or you’d like to be removed from our database, just let us know. You’ll remain on the Spare Zoom Project mentor database until you choose to opt out.

This initiative is aimed at professionals currently based in the UK or Ireland supporting those based in the UK or Ireland.
