Job description

The team looks after sales into around 1,000 non-traditional retailers. Our key accounts include The Works; Urban Outfitters; Promotional Wholesalers, ALDI; TK Maxx; and many more. We also think creatively to seek out partnership opportunities for our books, working with many different companies from Gucci to Lindt!

Reporting into the Key Account Manager, your main responsibilities will include managing sales for some authors and events and working closely with the customer services team to ensure our delivery requirements are met. You will assist on a number of key Non-Trade accounts and support the team by preparing for and following up with sales presentations. You will process orders, fulfil customer documentation requests and assist with research for new customer contacts, so having an eye-for-detail and being diligent are key skills for this role.


We’d love it if you had…

The team you’ll be joining works across the eight Adult Penguin Random House publishing houses and you will help to identify titles from each that are suitable for key Non Trade accounts. This role requires you to liaise with many other teams across the company including Production, Inventory, Editorial, Royalties and Contracts. This means you’ll need to communicate confidently and balance multiple priorities effectively.

You don’t need to have prior publishing experience, we’ll teach you everything you need to know about our sales team and company to be successful within this role. What we’re looking for are:

- Excellent communication and a can-do attitude
- A solid understanding and experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
