Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to join Penguin Michael Joseph as a Publicity Assistant. You’ll not only handle administrative tasks but also play a crucial role in supporting our talented publicists with their campaigns and events. In this varied role, responsibilities will include:
- Providing high level of support for senior publicists with their publicity campaigns e.g. organising travel arrangements, creating seasonal press releases, biannual divisional catalogues among other tasks
- General administration e.g. booking meetings and diary management, organising office supplies and stationary
- Maintaining databases, updating systems and budget sheets, and raising and coding purchase orders or invoices
- Posting, when required, to our social media channel
- Growing to work more independently on PR for smaller, review-driven titles and drafting press releases for these and other titles
- Acting as a point of contact for the department, fielding phone calls from the Press and answering queries from the public
