Katie Meegan is the founder of Cuala Creative, a virtual assistant business for the publishing industry. She has worked with writers like Louise Pentland, Anton Du Beke, and Stacey Halls.
Helen Weir, based in the United Kingdom, is currently a Editorial Director at Pan Macmillan, acquiring children’s illustrated books (fiction and non-fiction) for their imprint Two Hoots. She holds a BA in philosophy from the University of York and has worked on books with Bethan Woollvin, Emily Sutton and Dapo Adeola.Â
Kirsty is a category buyer for the British Library, having previously worked for WHSmith and Waterstones. She holds a Master’s Degree in Innovative and Experimental Writing from the University of Salford, which she earned with Merit.
Chris was formerly the senior communications manager at FMcM Associates and now serves as Communications Director for Hay Festival, overseeing PR for the organisation. He also works with the Hay Festival Press.
Chelsea works at Bonnier Books UK, managing the audio for the commercial and literary fiction across the ZPG division, alongside our Australian Echo list, and some non-fiction across our Manilla Press list.
Chelsea is also the Editor in Chief of The Publishing Post, overseeing the magazine from content creation to production and distribution. Working to promote and celebrate diversity and accessibility within the publishing industry, the magazine is completely free to anyone who wishes to learn.
Hamilton Brown is a Production Editor at Oxford University Press, and is actively involved in industry initiatives as the Co-Chair of the Society of Young Publishers UK Committee. Previously, in 2024, Hamilton held the position of Managing Editor of the SYP’s InPrint Magazine. An alumnus of the University of East Anglia, he graduated with a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing.
Ellie is the UK Co-Chair of the Society of Young Publishers (SYP) and serves as the Marketing Officer for two sites within the Circle Health Group. A first-class graduate of the University of Leeds, Ellie previously held the role of SYP UK Events Officer in 2024, where she contributed to organizing and promoting industry events that foster professional development and community engagement.
Vic is the incumbent Chief Executive of The Book Trade Charity, a non-profit based in Abbots Langley. Prior to her current role, she worked with Home-Start UK, where she played a key role in supporting their partnerships with John Lewis and Waitrose. Her previous experience includes delivering charitable collaborations for Jaguar Land Rover and serving as Chief Executive of EIL UK, a youth education charity recognized as a UN Peace Messenger through its federation membership.
