Meet the Creators:
J.F. Murray – @j.f.murray
J. F. Murray is an author and BookToker from Gaeltacht Baile Ghib in Co. Meath. Having graduated with a B.A. in Film and Drama, as well
as an MSc in Marketing from Trinity College Dublin, JF has always been drawn to fields involving creative expression. During the Covid lockdown, JF began making TikToks and writing his debut novel Fling. He now has over 100k followers and two traditionally published rom coms available globally. He reads any book that hooks him from chapter 1 and he hopes to continue his creative expression on BookTok and through writing novel number three.
Emma O’Connell – @emmareads20
Emma O Connell is a booktoker from Cork, who shares her love for reading and creating content. She is a lover of most genres, but you’ll almost always find her in the middle of a romance. In her 18 months on BookTok, she has accumulated over 12k followers and has
worked with many amazing brands, publishers and authors. She says the cherry on top of it all was being invited to Hay Festival 2025 with TikTok Ireland. When she’s not reading or creating content, she’s a full-time drama teacher after studying Social Science in college.
Lauren Malloy – @PawsandProse
Lauren Malloy is a BookToker, cat lover, and graduate student currently pursuing her Master’s in Liberal Arts through Johns Hopkins University. In January 2025, Lauren rediscovered her childhood devotion to reading and began creating book- and cat-related content for her TikTok, @PawsandProse. Since January, she has read over 200 books and has fostered a particular appreciation for 21st-century Irish
fiction. After completing her Master’s degree, she hopes to pursue a PhD in English and specialise in Irish literature. She is presently living in Galway and plans to relocate permanently to Ireland.
