SYP South West at Bristol New Writers Festival 2026

We’re excited to be supporting the Bristol New Writers Festival 2026 this September! ✨

Taking place at Bristol Folk House on 5–6 September, this new, writer-led festival is all about celebrating creativity at its earliest stages and helping emerging writers navigate the journey from idea to publication.

Across the weekend, you can expect:

• Workshops, talks, and one-to-one sessions
• A poetry open mic
• A publishing fair with industry professionals
• A welcoming space to learn, connect, and build confidence

The line-up includes a fantastic mix of established and emerging voices, including Sarah Dunant, Bertel Martin, Helen Taylor, Kitty Wilson, Adam Elms, Sophia Vahdati, Francesca Ramsay, and Mark Bowsher.

SYP South West will be there too!
Join us for a “Getting Published” session on Saturday afternoon, where we’ll be part of an informal Q&A and drop-in space to chat about:

• Routes into publishing
• What the industry really looks like
• How emerging writers and publishing professionals connect

Tickets range from free to £20
