Join us on Tuesday on May 25th where will be joined by Elena Browne, Sales Representative at O’Brien Press and Ruth Hallinan, Publishing and Production Manager at Lilliput Press, to discuss how these departments work together and what it takes to produce and sell the books we find on our shelves. We will take a closer look and find out more about the roles and responsibilities within the Sales and Production departments.
Panellists
Elena Browne worked as a bookseller in Eason for three years and has an M.Phil in Children’s Literature. Elena has been working in sales and marketing with O’Brien Press for the last 5 years and is currently in the role of Sales Representative. She manages the O’Brien Press Blog and is a published children’s author. Her first book, Take the Lead was published in 2020 and her second children’s book is scheduled for Autumn 2022.
Named as one of the Bookseller’s Rising Stars of 2020, Ruth Hallinan has worked in the industry for over ten years, including roles in bookselling, editorial, digital production, project management, print production, management and publicity. She is the Publishing and Production Manager at the Lilliput Press, which won the Bookseller Small Press of the Year Award for Ireland in 2020. She has previously worked for a number of Irish presses including Edco and UCD Press.
