It is that time of year again for our Annual General Meeting. Please come along and join us Monday 14 January at the Stationers’ Hall for a lively evening of networking and debating. This year’s debate will focus on banned books and censorship. As we look forward in our careers we should be aware of the issues surrounding censorship and how it can have a wider impact on our industry. We will be looking at the various responsibilities of members of the publishing industry to promote freedom of speech and help raise awareness. Authors living in areas where the luxury that we take so readily for granted is not always permitted need to be heard, but how does this happen and who is responsible for the process?
Come with your thinking caps on and your questions ready. The panel to be confirmed.
