In keeping with the Publishing for Everyone Convention’s Welsh spotlight, we chose welsh-based Katherine Stansfield’s The Visitor for our next book club. As an added bonus The Visitor is also set in 19th Century Cornwall, an excellent combination for a South Westbased book club!
The Visitor is described as “A cliff top romance in the style of Daphne Du Maurier and set in a fictional village based on St Ives[.] The Visitor is a novel steeped in the coast and people of Cornwall. It shivers and flashes with visions as elusive as the fish at the centre of its story.” We’re intrigued!
We have decided to hold this month’s book club on the 6th June 7-8pm to allow everyone plenty of time to buy or borrow a copy of the book and to read it and to avoid conflicts with other SYP events in May. Click here to register on eventbrite and we’ll see you on Zoom for a lovely informal discussion!
Copies available on Waterstones, Blackwell’s Marketplace and check your local library catalogue!
