Aspiring and existing publishing professionals will have the chance to boost their publishing skills, with each Publishing Skills Workshop focusing on a different area or skill in publishing. These free, interactive workshops will be led by industry experts and offer a real chance to learn and take something away. This year our Publishing Skills Workshops will introduce participants to different publishing skills from across the book industry and help them develop new or existing skills within each session.

Our latest SYP Publishing Skills Workshop of the year will focus on the technological skills, hosted by Emma Barnes, co-founder of Snowbooks and Consonance. With a publishing experience of more than 15 years, Emma retrained to be a programmer. Combing her publishing experience and technological expertise, she is now an award-winning CEO who strives hard to teach coding skills to publishers and create various side projects in publishing suchas Make Our Book, #SideProjectSummer and most recently, Day of Code 2019 at FutureBook Live.
