Our book this month is Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet, a fictionalised retelling of the life of Shakespeare’s son and the inspiration behind the playwright’s most famous play. With themes of family, loss, marriage and grief, it promises to be an exciting and interesting read. A Sunday Times Bestseller, Hamnet has garnered widespread critical acclaim and is the winner of the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2020. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
We will be discussing the novel on Tuesday 13th October from 7-8pm. Please join us via Zoom – you can register here.
Our digital UK book club is always open to everyone, whether you are an SYP member or not. All are welcome!
