We’ve all seen a publishing job description where “knowledge of Biblio” is listed under desirable skills. For new publishing professionals and job hunters alike, Demystifying Biblio is your one-stop introduction to the industry’s central program, Biblio.
Beginning with a short presentation, you’ll leave this event with knowledge of the Biblio basics; what it is, how to use it, what information it holds & how that information impacts the wider publishing industry. A panel of publishing professionals, across various departments, will also discuss using Biblio in their day-to-day work and getting to grips with a system new to everyone who enters the industry.
If you attended our January Demystifying Biblio event, this event will re-establish an introduction to Biblio but also feature advice on different features and a new panel of speakers giving their insight so please come along!
The introduction to Biblio will be delivered by Vicky Lord, the Business Process Administrator at Pan Macmillan. In this role she helps everyone at Pan Macmillan understand how to use Biblio to best retrieve, enter and understand information and use its tools to streamline their day-to-day tasks. This includes running monthly training sessions on the most helpful work management features and processes in Biblio.
Members of the SYP London committee will also be in attendance and after the event there will be an opportunity to network with the speakers.
