These days, it can be argued that independent publishers are those willing to take risks and invest in new authors and audiences. And with indie publishers picking up prizes and acclaim at an enviable pace, we want to know what they look for in a book or author and how they really work behind the scenes.
On what basis do indies commission books? What is it like to work for a smaller publisher? How can you pull off a solid marketing campaign with a lower budget?
