Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and creative individual to join our award-winning marketing team at Penguin Random House Children’s as a Marketing Assistant.

In this role, you’ll learn first-hand how we approach and execute marketing campaigns, drive demand, work with retailers and consumers and create magic. We pride ourselves on innovation and put our readers at the heart of everything we do. As Marketing Assistant, you’ll provide administration support to ensure the smooth-running of our large marketing team, working closely with PR. You’ll also support the creation of targeted, consumer-facing marketing campaigns for our children’s books.

Key responsibilities:
• Managing a wide range of admin processes to help the smooth-running of the team and campaigns, including finance administration such as raising purchase orders, paying invoices, and reconciling budgets
• Maintaining databases and updating systems as and when required
• Organising and scheduling meetings, and booking venues and materials / equipment
• Providing support for meetings such as the preparation of reports, agendas, taking minutes and collating visuals / materials
• Supporting team members with every stage of campaign development and implementation and managing some campaigns yourself
• Closely collaborating with PR Assistants and the social team on social support for allocated titles that receive owned media support
