Job description
The successful candidate will provide both administrative and editorial support to the Orbit team and help with the day-to-day running of the imprint.
This role can be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic new editorial assistant to join the team.
The successful candidate will have:
• A passion for reading SFF and horror and an awareness of the market
• Fantastic administrative and organisational skills
• The ability to manage their time effectively, prioritise and work well under pressure
• Excellent spelling and grammar and a meticulous eye for detail
• Superb communication skills
• An aptitude to work well as part of a large team
• Great computer literacy and aptitude (Microsoft Office)
• A strong ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Previous publishing experience is preferable but not essential. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone enthusiastic, organised and proactive who wants to get started in publishing. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in editorial by working within a highly successful, friendly and collaborative publishing team
