In our new events series, EVERYTHING BUT EDITORIAL will demystify the various parts of the publishing industry that you always see on job adverts but might not be sure exactly what the role entails.

On May 26th from 18:00-19:00, our first event of the series will be about agents and agencies. Join SYP Oxford as we speak with Juliet Mushens and Silé Edwards from Mushens Entertainment, the home of authors such as Jessie Burton, Stacey Halls, Abigail Dean, and the incredible Richard Osman.

You will learn exactly what an agent does, what skills you need for an entry level role, and how agents and agencies fit into the larger publishing industry. A brief discussion will be followed by a Q&A at the end by audience members.
