The Gilbert Collection

The Society of Young Publishers have a very special project we’d like you to be a part of.
We recently received a message on Facebook from Hannah Gilbert, whose brother Matthew was diagnosed with testicular cancer last autumn. He is 19 and sadly the cancer has spread to his lungs and brain and is now untreatable. He has made a bucket list of things that he would like to achieve and one of the items was to have his poetry published.
After speaking with Hannah and Matthew the SYP are delighted to announce that we will be publishing a short anthology of poetry from a range of male poets, including Matthew, to raise money and awareness of testicular cancer. Almost 43,000 men are diagnosed with a form of male-specific cancer each year in the UK and Everyman is an appeal of The Institute of Cancer Research to raise money for research into prostate and testicular cancers. All proceeds from the sale of the anthology will go to the Everyman charity.
The SYP are now receiving submissions from male poets who would like their work included in this anthology. There is no set theme and we are open to all aspects of poetry. Please send all submissions along with a brief paragraph about you to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 14th June.
