The SYP enters the London Marathon
Posted on December 12, 2011 in Uncategorized
On the 22nd April, at 9.45 AM, SYP Chair Andrew Turner and Commissioning Editor Rosy Locke will be running the London Marathon on behalf of the Society of Young Publishers to raise money for The Book Trade Charity.
The Book Trade Charity provides assistance to over 200 people each year, covering a wide range of issues and problems that may be personal, financial or work-related. The charity can be traced back to 1837, providing support and assistance to book trade colleagues for over 170 years. The Book Trade Charity offers practical, emotional and financial support to anyone who works or has worked in the Book Trade, as well as their dependants. Providing invaluable guidance and support for those struggling with illness, social welfare or housing difficulties, Andrew and Rosy have chosen a great charity to run for and we are proud to raise money to enable them to continue their good work.
We will be tracking their progress on our InDigital blog during the months running up to the marathon with photos and diary entries. We want to raise as much money as possible and cheer them on along the way. Please follow this link below to sponsor Andrew and Rosy. Every penny counts and it is for a really good cause.
Thank you for your support – watch this space!
