North-West London’s own spoken word extravaganza drops anchor at the Good Ship, Kilburn on Tuesday July 7th from 7pm. Hosted by SYP Speaker Meeting Co-ordinator Rebecca Fenton.
Featuring six performers who range from novelists to poets, the evening’s main emphasis is on quality original writing, performed in the authors’ inimitable styles.

Anna Mae Selby – poetess and lyrical genius with a penchant for big hats and superlatives
Niall Spooner-Harvey – to be heard to be believed, don’t ask this poet to tone down his energy onstage on pain of DEATH http://www.myspace.com/spoonpoetry
Sarah Day – Geological Society supremo by day and super short story writer by night
David Floyd – often a wry social commentary, Floyd’s poetry refreshes parts other poems can’t reach
John Osbourne http://johnosbornepoet.blogspot.com/ – Author of ‘Radio Head’ which is Radio 4’s Book of the Week w/c 25th May
Michael McKimm http://www.michaelmckimm.co.uk/ – A Northern-Irish Poet who uses stunning imagery and explores many landscapes in his work, McKimm won an Eric Gregory award for his poetry in 2007. His first collection of poetry, ‘Still This Need’ was published in April 2009
