SYP AGM 2007-8 – InPrint Online Report

Dear readers,

The SYP Annual General Meeting on the 16th January was, as usual, an action packed affair.  A full report can be found here, but what I wanted to update you on right away was the changes to InPrint Online.  Admittedly, I’d like to talk about how we decked out the Gardening Club in Covent Garden with books, filled the VIP room to capacity and got through a fair few bottles of wine, but no.

All the changes have been made with the reader in mind.  I’ll be overseeing the development of the site, and we’ve now got in place a genuinely exciting editorial structure, with a Deputy Editor for News and Editorial, a Deputy Editor for Features and the Archive facility, and also a team of people to proof, sub-edit and generally contribute to the fabness of what is a great addition to the SYP’s list-of-things-you-get-for-your-money.  I’m hoping to further tweak the front end, and also to get PDFs of all of the previous paper InPrints up onto the site.

We’ll report back with names, faces and more developments after our first raft of January and February meetings.  But until there, how about a picture of some towering academia?  A big shout out to anyone who emails me with the correct location of this impressive structure – gurdeep dot mattu at hotmail dot com.
