Oxford Punting Information
Posted on August 9, 2007 in News & Reviews
Good day to you punters,
This Saturday it’s take 2 for the annnual Punting Party in Oxford; the forecast shows us warm temperatures with a possible light shower or two, which is promising enough for us to continue with the event (be brave, people!) and, as with such things entailing both London & Oxford members, we have some information for those in London who wish to join the group heading northwards.
We’ll go by Oxford Tube, departing at around 10am on Saturday morning. This is the cheapest method and works out to £11 return for students/young person card holders and £14 for anyone else. The journey takes around 2-2.5 hours and as you can see on their website there are a number of pick up points as the bus journeys out of London. These are:
Victoria Coach Station
Notting Hill Gate
If Victoria is not your preferred departure point we can meet you en route, so if you wish to join us along the way please let us know in advance, either by contacting us through Facebook or the SYP website. Alternatively, both London and Oxford members who are making their own arrangements to reach the meeting point (12:30pm outside The King’s Arms, on the corner of Holywell Street and Broad Street), can contact Jo Godfrey in Oxford or myself on mobile for help with directions if necessary).
Any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask… We look forward to seeing everyone there!!
