More about the course:
A course aimed at first time users of a page layout program who will be using InDesign check and edit documents created by others and/or to create their own files. The course integrates exercises during which participants develop skills in using the software in specific contexts and helps users gain confidence with this software.

InDesign’s user interface:Palettes, menus and how to manage them; The Workspace, multiple views and Document presets concepts
Working with text:Importing text and other file types; Editing text files
Formatting text: Character and paragraph attributes; Styles including character styles and importing styles from Word
Images: Importing images; Adjusting images; Linking and embedding; Checking images ready for prepress
Colour: Spot, process and additional colours; Using drawing tools with the colours palette

Who would benefit from the course:
The course can be taken with the Intermediate day to further delegates skills with this software. Delegates need a basic understanding of PC computers.

Her extensive experience built up over 25 years in the industry informs her training courses making them relevant to all aspects of book, journal, magazine and marketing publishing. She is a qualified teacher in higher education.
