Kingston University are offering a £500 bursary to an outstanding applicant to the MA in Publishing or the joint MA in Creative Writing and Publishing commencing this September.
Candidates should be in possession of a good first degree, and have a demonstrable commitment to writing and publishing.
The winner will be required to work on publications (online and printed) within the School of Humanities, and will be encouraged to generate new publication ideas. The runner up will receive a free place on one of our short courses, worth £175.
All members of the Society of Young Publishers are entitled to a 20% discount on any short courses in publishing offered at Kingston University during 2007.
The closing date for applications is May 15 2007.
The MA in Publishing at Kingston offers students:
- dedicated work placements,
- a series of Masterclasses by our prestigious Publishing Advisory Board
- subsidised trips (eg to the Paris Book Fair)
- and the chance to work on the new Kingston University Press.
In addition, The Bookseller awards three prizes for Best Dissertation exclusively to MA in Publishing students at Kingston on an annual basis.
