By now, several of you might have heard about the London Literature Festival, which is happening in the newly regenerated Southbank Centre. This is the south bank of the Thames, covering an area that is bookended (see what I did there?) by the Hungerford and Waterloo Bridges.
You may not know about London Lit Plus however, an effort by several avant garde literary bods to get London to wake up to just how much out there isn't part of the Nobel laureates and dignitaries that will grace the Festival. The rules are that it has to be taking place within the London Orbital, and it has to be happening around the same dates of the London Literature Festival.
You can check out the blog, buy t-shirts, and borrow some nice images from the Flickr pool at http://londonlitplus.com/. Go ahead and add images to the Flickr pool at http://flickr.com/groups/londonlitplus/pool/
We at the SYP would like to see as many members as possible attend - take pictures - and send them in, to firstname.lastname@example.org together with a few words. Best ones go into a round-up article! Get taking those snaps!
UPDATE: Final Events listing up, at http://londonlitplus.com/events/
SYP will be in attendance at the Social Disease Social and the launch of Beslan, The Tragedy of School Number 1 by Timothy Phillips. So come along.
