A Taste of the LBF Global Seminar Programme
The London Book Fair hosts a rich seminar programme that stimulates debate and informs professionals about the topical issues facing the global publishing industry today. Following visitor and exhibitor research the 2008 seminar programme will hone in on three key areas that LBF's audience felt needed more prominence. These are Digitisiation; Children's Books and Film and TV.
Seminars will include sessions on why bookshops must go digital, how to run successful children's literary events, and whether it is essential to have your book transformed into a film in order to make it a bestseller?
Market Focus 2008 - The Arab World
The Arab World will be the Market Focus in 2008.
Publishers from the region will be exhibiting either on their own stands, or on their country pavilions with the aim of both buying and selling rights, promoting their English language and Arabic language books for export sale and promoting cultural activities such as "Beirut - World Book Capital 2009".

Demonstrations and cultural culinary tours are on offer, courtesy of Middle Eastern chef Ramzi Choueiri, the best chefs from the Cordon Bleu Cooking School and Art Smith from the Oprah Winfrey Show to name but a few.
