Alternative media sources and modern culture are seducing conventional readers away from their traditional reading habits. Will today's concept of reading disappear? How can book and magazine publishers keep their readers? These are just some of the questions that will be discussed at the London College of Communication's annual Publishing Innovation Conference on the afternoon of Thursday March 13th. Admission is free. Speakers include Doug Wallace (Marketing Director at Metro Media, and 2007 SYP Chair), Clive Bryant (Chairman of Classical Comics), Julia Strong (Deputy Director NLT and Director of the National Reading Campaign), Andrew Franklin (Profile Books), and Tony Lacey (Publishing Director, Penguin Books).
