The Web and Direct Marketing team provide web and email marketing support to a global marketing team of over 150 marketing staff across six international offices, updating marketing websites, building and launching email campaigns and supporting all central e-marketing initiatives.The core responsibilities of the role include:
maintain and update key areas of the Academic and Journals websites to keep them looking fresh and up-to-date
assist with the production of email campaigns, including alerts, ensuring campaigns are sent on time, to specification and keep to best practice guidelines
undertake regular administrative tasks (including basic website updates, processing customer responses, and data management) to support the department
support the team’s internal and external training programmes, booking sessions and keeping track of training requirements as needed to ensure department new starters and marketers are fully equipped for their roles
provide administrative assistance (e.g. minute-taking, room booking, document preparation and circulation, research, response collation) as needed to support the success of departmental and divisional projects and initiatives
provide cover across the Web & Direct Marketing team as necessary (including general admin, data entry, and running reports) to support the department during busy times
No previous marketing or publishing experience is needed, however you should be keen about working in a close team where you are given the opportunity to make a real impact right from the start. In addition you will need to be highly organised, able to prioritise a busy workload and have a high standard of literacy, a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a good knowledge of IT packages. Some knowledge of HTML coding, optimizing images for web and experience in updating websites is desirable.
