Editorial Training is running a new writing competition aimed at publishers.
Anyone who works in – or has worked in – book publishing in the UK can enter. This includes freelances and those doing work experience.
Entries should be short fictional pieces (no more than 2,000 words) on the theme of ‘A perfect start to a publishing career’. They may be short stories or extracts from longer pieces.
First prize is £500 and all entries must be received by 28 May 2010. The winner will be announced on 14 June.
